    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform quality assurance to ensure integrity of the data
    • Develop spreadsheets to manage data
    • Work to resolve issues with inconsistencies or missing data
    • Data entry of program data collected
    • Prepare program documents to check for accuracy
    • Organize data management for the department
    • Filing or route source documents after data entry
    • Collect departmental program data
    • Prepare monthly program reports
    • Complete regular reports of data collection and recruitment activities
    • Attend monthly department meetings
    • Attend all project meetings or workshops required by supervisor/department director
    • Attend Evaluation Task Force meetings
    • Produce reports and presentations of program data analyzed
    • Analyze data sets using statistical software
    • Complete reports of data collected and recruitment/retention activities
    • HIV testing and counseling

    Education and/or Experience

    Currently enrolled in a 4-year college/university with a major in communications, hospitality, marketing, business, public relations or a related field.

    Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    Qualifications

    • Enrolled in accredited university with 3.0 GPA minimum
    • Experience with public health programs
    • Experience with motivational interviewing and other qualitative data collection methods
    • Experience with desktop database programs or query tools (such as MS Access) to perform sorting, querying, merging, reconciling and manipulation of large, multi-table databases
    • Experience with spreadsheet programs (such as MS Excel) to perform merges, sorting, importing, exporting, parsing, formation, and organizing data
    • Demonstrate the ability, to collect, organize, and analyze complicated qualitative and quantitative public health program data
    • Able to produce simple and sophisticated reports and presentations
    • Excellent typing skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
    • One must have a general understanding of the agency’s policies and procedures and have knowledge regarding HIPPA laws and regulations.
    • Experience managing data, problem solving, and analyzing data
    • The equipment that is used includes, computer programs, such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, PEMS, and SPSS
