    Responsibilities

    Under the mentorship of the Clinic/Program Manager the Clinic Patient Support Specialist - Intern will support the goals and objectives of the AID Atlanta Newnan clinic. Clinic Patient Support Specialist will work cooperatively with all clinical and non-clinical staff, to develop procedures that enhance the clinic’s team-based approach to patient-centered care.

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities:

     

    • Assist with facilitation of patient flow by notifying the appropriate staff of the patient’s arrival.
    • Assist with registering new patients and updating existing patient profiles.
    • Provide support to medical case managers in compliance with AID Atlanta Newnan - Clinic guidelines.
    • Work closely with Clinic Program Manager to conduct outreach within the community.
    • Attend meetings and trainings as identified by internship mentor.
    • Assist with conducting education and support groups for members
    • Assist with planning and implementation of AID Atlanta Newnan events and activities.
    • Develop and present internship learning project.

    Education and/or Experience

    Currently enrolled in a 4-year college/university with a major in communications, hospitality, marketing, business, public relations or a related field.

    Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    Qualifications

    Undergraduate or recently graduated – Preferably Marketing/Media/Graphic Design/ Videographer Major 3.0 GPA or higher higly preferred

    Knowledge of Microsoft Suite

    Familiar with Macintosh operating systems

    Be able to lift 50 pounds

    Intern must have great communication skills

    Intern must have great presentation skills

    Intern must commit fully to the entire duration of the program
