    Responsibilities

    The position is overwhelmingly a telemarketer/telecommunications and relationship development position. This is a full-time, Temporary position through 11/15/2019.

     

    Essential Job Duties

    • Implement a complete and thorough, multi-pronged communications plan to recruit new fundraising teams and renewing existing (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017) fundraising teams
    • Complete weekly status reports and contact lists based on activity with team captains
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of clear, concise, and consistent communiques with team captains to keep AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run at the forefront of team captain’s thoughts
    • Serve as primary contact for assigned team categories throughout the campaign.

     

    Other Duties

    -Assist in execution of recruitment and fundraising workshops as developed by the Teams Group

    -Serve as contact for inquiries about online registration and giving system

    -Serve as liaison with AID Atlanta staff regarding online registration and giving system

    -Assist in the design, staffing, operation, set-up and reset Teams Information Tents and Teams Land on the Day of the Event

    -Update Social Networking Coordinator

    -Assist and attend other Development team related events as needed/some evenings and weekends will be required

     

    Qualifications

                Education

    Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. College preferred.

     

    Experience

    -1 to 2 years outside and/or inside sales experience, public speaking, front line customer service is exceptionally helpful.

    -Fund raising experience is a pre-requisite.

    -Capable of working under stress in fast-paced, diverse, and active professional environment is required.

     

    Skills and Abilities

    The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.  Specifically, candidate will have excellent phone, electronic, and written communication skills.

     

    MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) experience is essential.  Willingness to learn Windows-based database system required. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must demonstrate a willingness and ability to fundraise for HIV/AIDS causes from all components of personal life.   

    Qualifications

    Education
    Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred

    Experience

    • 1 to 2 years volunteer supervisory and/or fundraising experience is ideal 
    • Capable of working under stress in fast-paced, diverse, and active professional environment is required

     

    Skills and Abilities

    • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills specifically, candidate will have excellent phone, electronic, and written communication skills.
    • MS Office suite experience is essential.
    • Willingness to learn Windows-based database system required. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Must demonstrate a willingness and ability to fundraise.
    • Total commitment to the success of AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run is expected.
    • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, and have regular access to reliable transportation, and have flexible schedule working some nights and weekends as campaign dictates.
    • Employees involved with special events will be required to commit to working 7 days a week in the month of October to ensure a successful AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run campaign.
